The Journey with Father: A Devotional

Image
We are not journeying alone. Father God remains near us always. To do so, spending time in the Word changes our lives and the trajectory of our journey. We learn so much when we devote a few minutes a day to completely focus on Him. To help, I will publish a devotional every Monday and Friday. The most difficult days are these two days, the beginning and the end of the typical work week, though everyone works at their own time and place. So, be prepared to grow in the Lord! Be blessed.

We Prayed, and God Answered

Image
The power of prayer, friends. We got an amazing special answer to several weeks of prayer. Jesus knew just how to work it out for the good, and uses us his children to do it. Jesus is listening, continue to ask/seek/knock until you get an answer. We have a few other things, so continue to pray for us, but I KNOW God will provide - Jehovah Jireh - and will update as He does. Father God is a wonderful provider. "You can make many plans, but the LORD's purpose will prevail" (Proverbs 19:21). As our wonderful pastor at Bethel and his wife always say: if you need a bill paid, for instance, praying, "God, we are already thanking you for providing the money, Jesus we know You will, as Jehovah Jireh, meet all our needs and our blessings will flow out so we can then be a blessing to others." God's timing is on God's timing, but know He is right on time and never late. Have a blessed week, friends. One of our blessings was dishes from my grandmother.

Always I have sort of inwardly struggled with anxiety, doubt, fear, worry; it's like it's deep down and I don't know when I developed it. Regardless, at Bethel Assembly of God church two weeks ago or so, we had an amazing time of God and the Holy Spirit coming down and just washing all of that away, and I have never felt so at peace. Then something happened, and I am not kidding, it was like fear rushed back in. And I was in it and I thought, "No. THE LORD HAS SET ME FREE. SATAN, GET BEHIND ME." And after that, I said, "God, I trust you when I don't see what's happening, but you work this out for my good." You don't say it once like a magic cure. You keep saying it. Over and over until you believe it. And I have been focusing my mind on faith, having faith, believing God, etc., more than ever. When the Lord has set you free, and the devil is trying to attack you, you just...
